AMC Stubs Card

I received this response from the AMC Theaters when I found out they have a limit on the time you can redeem your points on their Stubs Card.  There is never any mention of this on any print advertising or by the person selling you the Stubs Cars when you purchase it.  This is very bad business on the part of yet another giant Corp.    I am still amazed how the big corporations fine ways to cheat their customers and think it is OK.  

“There is an expiration date on all rewards. All rewards must be redeemed within 90 days.”  This never appears in any advertising including the one in the theater or again by the person selling the memberships!

Thank you for contacting AMC Theaters regarding our reward program, AMC Stubs. 

As soon as you pass the $100 earnings threshold, your $10 reward will be immediately and automatically deposited on your AMC Stubs membership card. Please be aware that rewards will not be automatically applied to your next purchase. Unexpired rewards may be redeemed only via a card swipe at participating AMC Theatre locations in the US by presenting your card in connection with a purchase and letting the AMC theatre staff know that you want to redeem the rewards. Rewards are not redeemable online. 

There is an expiration date on all rewards. All rewards must be redeemed within 90 days. 

We apologize for any confusion regarding AMC Stubs rewards redemption policies. You can always check your account balance online to see your earnings as well as pending expiration dates. You may also want to opt-into receiving emails and text alerts notifying you of earned awards pending expiration dates. You can do this by editing your account information at www.amcstubs.com to indicate you wish to receive these notifications.
